How to create menu items, modifiers and recipes

By Product and F&B Operations Research

TajerGo deducts ingredients and tracks food cost on every sale once items, modifiers and recipes are linked. Set them up in the order below.

  1. 1

    Add categories

Create menu categories (e.g. Hot Drinks, Mains) to organise the till screen.

  2. 2

    Create items and prices

Add each item with its price; set tax basis to inherit your VAT settings.

  3. 3

    Add modifiers

Build modifier groups (milk, shots, sizes) and attach them to items for fast ordering.

  4. 4

    Link a recipe

TajerGo deducts stock through the linked recipe. Link it to inventory items with the correct quantities and units, then check the available cost records and test the configured stock deduction.

  5. 5

    Publish to the till

Save the item, open the intended branch till and confirm its price, modifiers and availability after synchronization.

Common questions

TajerGo costs a recipe from its mapped ingredients, units and current approved costs. Record physical waste separately and review missing cost data.
